Welcome!
I am Mattia Caldarulo, and I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy, at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
I am a public management scholar; my research focuses on how public organizations manage technology and technological threats and examines the role of government in promoting digital equity. I also explore how organizations address environmental challenges within these frameworks. My research is currently published in several journals, including Public Management Review, Government Information Quarterly, Public Administration, and Telecommunications Policy.
I am currently working on several grant-funded research projects focused on cyber-security and generative AI in local governments, while also investigating the connection between the digital divide and time poverty.
I received my PhD in Public Administration and Public Policy at the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University (ASU) in May 2024. There, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Studies (C-STEPS).
Before entering academia, I worked as a Public Sector consultant at Deloitte Consulting Italy and PwC Italy.
